3D PACT Instructor Station (IS)

In this section we will outline the requirements and the process of installing the 3D PACT Instructor Station (IS).

In short, this is a stand alone Windows application which serves as an interface for Trainee users sign in with their 3D PACT Management System (MS) credentials, retrieve a list of their assigned Scenarios, execute them and upload the execution Results to 3D PACT MS.

Before You Start

System Requirements

The system requirements for a 3D PACT IS varies depending on the complexity of your application and the size and complexity of the Asset Bundles and Scenarios you are working with.

However, some the minimum requirements are:

Component Minimum Requirement
Operating System Microsoft Windows (64-bit) 10 or later
CPU Quad-core processor (e.g., Intel Core i5 or AMD equivalent)
RAM 8 GB
GPU DirectX 11 or equivalent graphics card with at least 2GB of VRAM
Storage SSD with at least 20 GB of free space

3rd-Party Software Requirements

3D PACT IS natively supports integration with OpenXR compatible Virtual Reality (VR) headsets.

In order to facilitate Scenario execution in VR, the appropriate software needs to be installed for the VR headset being used.

We recommend following the prescribed procedure from your VR headset manufacture.

Below are a list of commonly used VR headsets with 3D PACT:

  • Meta Quest Pro

  • Meta Quest 2

  • Meta Quest 3

  • HTC Vive

  • Oculus Rift S

Installation

Below is a step-by-step guide to installing 3D PACT IS a few easy steps.

3D PACT has built-in auto-updating & patching functionality, meaning that you will always have the most up-to-date version available.

BEFORE STARTING, ENSURE YOU HAVE A STABLE INTERNET CONNECTION

  • 1. Download 3D PACT IS LAUNCHER here [3D PACT Instructor Station (IS) Download Centre]
  • 2. Run the 3D PACT ISL Installer Executable
  • 3. Follow the on-screen prompts
  • 4. On the last screen, click Finish
  • 5. Once opened, the latest version of 3D PACT Instructor Station (IS) will be downloaded and run automatically
